Individual therapy
A space of your own to talk, in your language
For adults who want an hour of their own, in Spanish, English or both languages at once.
You decide what to talk about. Your therapist listens, asks questions and helps you put into words what is sometimes only felt. Amalia, Agustín and Frida see people in Spanish or English, and Cesia in English.
You can talk about
Work, home and the tiredness of each week
Distance or clashes within the family
Looking after others without neglecting yourself
Whatever you choose, in the order you choose

How we work
What sessions are like
What a session is like
Each session lasts 50 minutes, in person or by video. You talk; there are no required tasks and no questions you have to answer.
The method
In the first session your therapist explains which method they use and which body they trained with. If you prefer another style, we tell you and give you names of colleagues.
What it is not
It is not an emergency service, an evaluation for a legal or immigration matter, and it does not include prescribing medication.
Pace and length
You and your therapist decide together how often to meet, with no number of sessions set in advance. The pace can change when you need it to.
Questions
Three questions about this service
Do I have to talk about my past?
No. You decide what to share and when. If something is hard to say, you can leave it for another day.
Can I change therapist or language?
Yes, without giving a reason. Say so in session or in writing and we will suggest someone else on the team.
Can I come with my mother or father?
If you both want to, yes: there are two-generation sessions, together or apart. They are explained on their own page.
How is individual therapy paid for?
The fee depends on the therapist and we give it to you in writing before you start. It is all in How fees work.
